July 2026
Planning a family holiday can sometimes feel like hard work. Many modern staycations wind up feeling more exhausting than relaxing, especially if you end up at a commercial park packed with noisy arcades, neon lights, and crowded entertainment complexes. If you want a wholesome escape where your children can unplug from screens and reconnect with nature, finding the right location is key.
Lucksall Holiday Park offers a 5-star home away from home that strips away the stressful chaos. If you’re looking for peaceful family glamping in Herefordshire with open acres, riverside relaxation, and starry nights, Lucksall delivers exactly that. It’s the perfect holiday to recharge from busy modern lives.
Lucksall Park is nestled in the heart of the Wye Valley, right along the banks of the River Wye, offering a spectacular setting that allows families to enjoy authentic outdoor adventures right on their doorstep.
Let’s paint a picture:
Choosing a rustic holiday does not mean you have to rough it! Our camping, touring and glamping accommodation options are designed to give you a comfortable, warm, and stress-free experience.
Inside our glamping pods and huts, you’ll find proper beds with mattresses, a TV/DVD player, a kettle, and heating to keep things cosy during chilly evenings.
We offer choices to fit everyone, including pods that sleep up to four people (ideal for two adults and two children) and our larger Pavilion unit, which sleeps up to five.
Each unit features its own outdoor decking area with a picnic bench, giving the whole family plenty of space to relax together after a busy day outdoors.
The West Midlands has some beautiful landscapes, but Herefordshire offers something truly special. Our park is surrounded by stunning countryside and gives you easy access to a wide range of short walks. Children can run free in secure green spaces, play safely at our fenced on-site play area, and discover local wildlife.
Of course, if you want to explore further afield, you’re within easy reach of the historic market towns and beautiful scenery of Hereford, Ledbury, and Ross on Wye.
When the sun goes down, the experience at Lucksall becomes even more magical. Instead of heading to a loud clubhouse, evenings here are all about simple pleasures. You can sit outside your holiday home or pod with a BBQ and watch the stars appear in the clear night sky.
When you do want a break from cooking, you can head straight over to our on-site Riverside Bar & Eatery for freshly cooked food, local drinks, and even a catch-up with the park community!
If you are ready to trade the arcade noises for peaceful river adventures and quality family time, a break at Lucksall is exactly what you need.
You can check availability or get in touch with our team on our main Lucksall Park page, or head straight to our dedicated page for glamping in Hereford to book your next family holiday. Your quiet luxury retreat in England is waiting for you.
It completely depends on the type of getaway you want. Spring offers tranquil stays with wildflowers and mild temperatures, making it a great time for quiet walking holidays. Meanwhile, summer features long days perfect for outdoor activities like canoeing and exploring the river.
Because it’s such a popular time for families, booking is recommended during peak periods in summer to secure your preferred plot.
Our current focus at Lucksall is on providing traditional wooden glamping pods, cosy glamping huts, and our large Pavilion unit. For up-to-date details on any new accommodations, or to view our latest holiday homes for sale, please look through our main website page.
Yes, we have a handy on-site shop stocked with all the basics and daily essentials, meaning you never have to worry if you run out of the necessities during your stay.
Combined with the Riverside Bar & Eatery and our park facilities, we have everything you could need for the perfect glamping accommodation.
We’re perfectly situated for exploring the West Midlands and the stunning border country. The historic city of Hereford is a quick 10-minute drive away, while the market town of Ross on Wye is just under 25 minutes down the road. If you want to head into the beautiful Forest of Dean for a day trip, it is also within easy reach, making our park an ideal base for exploring the region’s best highlights.
We love welcoming four-legged friends, and a selection of our glamping huts and pods are completely dog-friendly.
Please let us know at the time of your booking if you plan on bringing your dog along so we can place you in the perfect pet-friendly unit! We’d like to note that dogs are not permitted in our Pavilion unit.
Because our glamping pods include heating, electricity, and proper beds, you can pack much lighter than you would for a standard camping trip. However, please note that bed linen, pillows, duvets, and towels are not included, so you will need to bring those along with your usual holiday essentials.
