After a great summer season, we’re looking back at what was another fantastic August at Lucksall Holiday Park.
The August bank holiday was a great weekend at Lucksall Holiday Park, filled with glorious sunshine, laughter and the smell of sizzling BBQ’s. The onsite Riverside Bar and Eatery was serving cold local ciders and Mr Whippy ice creams could also be enjoyed by everyone, while taking in the beautiful views of the River Wye. And speaking of beautiful, with such beautiful weather it would be rude not to be outdoors soaking up the sunshine. The River Wye has seen a hide of activity, from fishing and canoeing to kayaking and paddle boarding. If you don’t have your own canoes, there are many canoe hire companies operate along the River Wye.
Walking is also a great past time to enjoy when staying at Lucksall Holiday Park. With a wide variety of walks available from the caravan park, you can take a stroll while enjoying the views, enjoying the fresh air and generally being at peace in nature. The Woods provide a picture backdrop to the Park, and with many trails available that can provide some much-needed shade during the warmer days, the woods are a great place to allow children’s imaginations to venture and explore. The monk jack can be spotted if you are quiet enough, along with other wildlife – how many species have you spotted during your time at Lucksall? If staying more bank side is more you you and you don’t want to venture into the woods, there are Riverside walks available. If you are lucky enough, you may even spot our resident Otters!
On bank holiday Monday, Woolhope Village held their annual fete, providing a great afternoon of fun in the sun. We supported the event by selling raffle tickets for their draw and we hope some of you were lucky enough to win something!
The Summer Holidays came to an end and the children have now gone back to school. The next school holiday will be October Half Term, which will soon be here! With many local attractions to visit and some holding Halloween events, don’t forget to keep an eye out on our webpage for local events. We still have some availability remaining don’t forget to book to avoid disappointment.
