It’s Friday afternoon. You’ve finished work, the sun is shining, and all you want to do is escape to the countryside for a long weekend of bliss.
Owning a holiday home means your happy place is waiting for you. No need to pack up all of your holiday essentials or take a gamble on a new hotel. By half 5, you can be sitting on your decking, soaking in the evening views, looking towards the weekend with no worries.
At Williams Leisure, our Herefordshire holiday homes at Lucksall Holiday Park or our Mid Wales holiday homes at Cwm Hafren, aren’t just whimsical purchases; they’re life upgrades. The 5-star amenities and family-run feel make it truly a home away from home.
When looking at holiday home ownership, most talk about the exclusive perks, like park facilities or the local area. But how about the freedom and sense of spontaneity that comes with the purchase?
If the weather looks great or you’ve had a long week, you just jump in the car. When a bank holiday creeps up, or you fancy a moment away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, your home is already waiting for you.
No check-in times, no “fully booked” notification, and no stress. It’s your home, on your terms.
This is a big one for Williams Leisure. We aren’t just a set of parks; we’re a neighbourhood and community of like-minded people, all looking for a restful place to call their own.
Whether it’s making lifelong friends over a BBQ on the decking, finding playdate buddies for the little ones, or just having that neighbour to catch up with when the next holiday season arrives, owning a holiday home is also joining a community. It’s about belonging somewhere special, where the word ‘home’ doesn’t sound out of place.
When it’s your own holiday home, instead of a one-time weekend away, you want to be sure the entire park matches your standard of living. As we’re family-run, we understand what a family holiday home needs. Instead of that corporate dullness, your holiday home and surrounding park have a glow of genuine familiarity and 5-star facilities.
From heated toilet and shower blocks and laundry rooms to dog walking trails and children’s play areas, our parks’ standard facilities are the definition of comfort. At our Herefordshire Holiday Park, Lucksall, park amenities take another form of luxury, with an on-site shop, the Riverside Bar and Eatery and river access for launching and landing, all as part of the Williams Leisure deal.
Owning a holiday home in the Wye Valley or Mid Wales naturally gets you outside. More space, more fresh air, and more time spent away from screens. When you first think of holiday home ownership, you might see it as a nice break from work, or a spot to physically relax, but in actuality, it’s an investment in your mental well-being as well.
There are plenty of walking trails, outdoor activities and panoramic views for you to find that countryside headspace we all need sometimes. Whether you’re exploring the rolling hills with your four-legged friend or canoeing down the River Wye, holidaying in our slice of the countryside allows you to relax, recharge, and reconnect.
Think about the kids and grandkids. It’s a place where memories are made, from learning to ride a bike to summer evenings by the water.
Whether you take the whole family away for the summer or meet up with long term neighbours turned family friends, it’s a gift that keeps on giving for years to come. Owning a holiday home also means providing a perfect year-round retreat where quality time is treasured, creating traditions that span generations and offering a stress-free space for everyone to unwind and connect.
The perfect holiday home is the one that lets you relax the moment you turn the key. Owning a holiday home with Williams Leisure means embracing a lifestyle filled with freedom, community, and unforgettable memories. It’s more than just a getaway, it’s your perfect place to relax, recharge, and create a legacy for years to come.

Yes, all of our holiday parks are pet-friendly, welcoming owners who want to bring their four-legged friends along. We offer dedicated dog walking trails, a community of dog-lovers, and even feature a dedicated pet of the month at Orleton Rise! So, owning a holiday home is perfect for those with pets to relax and enjoy our areas of outstanding natural beauty!
Most of our parks are family-friendly, with dedicated facilities and holiday homes designed for families; however, Oakwood Valley is strictly couples only. While we allow visiting grandchildren, we don’t allow children to stay at our luxury lodge park, to respect the community we have built at Oakwood. Please contact our team to ask any questions you have about visiting grandkids or children’s facilities at our other parks: https://williamsleisure.co.uk/contact
Yes, there are several ways to make your dream of ownership a reality. While we don’t offer direct financing, our customers frequently use external finance providers or personal loans to fund their purchase. We’re always happy to chat through how other buyers have navigated this process to help you find the best fit for your budget.
Although our parks are open most of the year, holiday homes such as static caravans and holiday lodges are intended for leisure use and cannot be used as a primary residence. Owners must provide proof of a primary residence elsewhere, as holiday parks are designed for seasonal enjoyment rather than full-time living.
Site fees are annual costs that holiday home owners pay to cover maintenance, security, and use of park facilities. These fees vary depending on the park location and help offset running costs, ensuring your holiday home and the park community remain well maintained and secure. Our site-fees are very competitive, as we want to ensure your journey with holiday home ownership is as smooth as possible.
